One wintery morning in the carefree London of the early 1990s, two world travellers from very<\/em><\/strong> different parts of the globe happened to meet over a bowl of cornflakes and a cup of tea in the breakfast room of a Chelsea hotel.<\/p>\n

Many conversations, auto-train-ferry-trips, and adventures around Great Britain later — we married and lived for awhile in Norfolk UK before becoming global citizens by residing on 3 different continents (and many different states) over a 20-plus year period. Australia was home for the longest period — most recently with 6 years in Melbourne and 7 years in Central Victoria.<\/p>\n

Europe was our favourite place from 2010 to 2013 and it created a template for how we preferred to live. We decided that we needed to reside in a place that made our hearts sing, so we returned to France at the end of 2016 and will not be returning to Australia.<\/p>\n

Deborah is Deborah Harmes, Ph.D. — a full-time writer and free-lance journalist and part-time photographer and artist. She is the author of 2 non-fiction books of consciousness studies and intuitive visions, 2 novels, and has written for both print and online media for many years.<\/p>\n

Deborah spends her days doing research-based writing for international think tanks, NGOs, and clients who practice medicine, law, or who are involved in governmental legislation. She also does developmental editing on a variety of books with topics ranging from health and wellness to novels. That work is done through Deborah Harmes, Ph.D.<\/a> Writer – Editor – Photographer<\/p>\n

Mark Harmes has been in the construction trades for over 2 decades, restoring houses (beautifully!) for a living. In his spare time, he is a mad-keen cyclist, lover of jazz, snuffler through brocantes for vintage records or bits of mid-century goodness, and a fine-arts painter when he has a bit of time.<\/p>\n

Together we have purchased, restored, and sold houses in places around the world.<\/p>\n

We’re now living in Brittany, France with happy hearts about being back in Europe<\/p>\n
